MenuQR

Privacy Policy

Last updated 9 October 2026

MenuQR is a QR code menu service run by Menura (“we”, “us”). Diners scan a QR code and see a restaurant's menu in their phone browser; restaurant owners keep that menu up to date from a dashboard. This policy explains what data we handle and why. We keep it to the minimum the service needs.

Diners

You can open a menu without an account, and we do not collect personal data about you. We do not ask for your name, phone number or email, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

To show restaurants how often their menu is opened, we keep a count of menu views per restaurant per day. The count is a number only and contains nothing about who viewed the menu. Your browser remembers, for the current tab only, that it has already counted a view, so reloading the page is not counted twice. View counts are not public: they can be seen only by our service and by the owner of that restaurant.

Restaurant owners

Owners sign in with Google. From your Google account we receive only your name and email address, and we use them only to sign you in and to check which restaurant you may manage. We never see or store your Google password. While you are signed in, a cookie keeps your login session active.

For your restaurant we store the details you or we enter: restaurant name, address, contact numbers, opening hours, FSSAI number, social links, menu sections, dishes, prices, logo and photos, look and feel settings, and purchase details (date of purchase and amount paid).

What is public

Your menu and the photos you upload are public: anyone with the menu link or QR code can see them, together with the restaurant details you choose to show on the menu. Your email address, purchase details and view counts are never shown on the public menu.

Payments

MenuQR is a one-time purchase. Payment is made outside the app, by UPI. MenuQR does not collect or store card, bank or UPI details. We record only the amount paid and the date of purchase.

Who processes the data

We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not share it for advertising. The service runs on trusted providers who process data only to run it for us: Supabase (database, login and photo storage, hosted in Mumbai, India), Vercel (website hosting) and Google (sign-in). Like any website, these providers may keep short-lived technical logs, such as IP addresses, for security and reliability. We may also disclose data if Indian law requires it.

How long we keep data

We keep restaurant data while the restaurant uses MenuQR. If a menu is paused, its data is kept so the menu can be turned back on. Owners can ask us at any time to correct or delete their restaurant's data or their sign-in details, and we will do so unless the law requires us to keep it.

Your rights and contact

You can ask us what data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or raise a concern, by emailing vinkr1212@gmail.com. We aim to reply within 7 days. Grievance officer: Vinayak Mishra, Founder, Menura.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update this page and the date above, and tell restaurant owners about significant changes by email.
